Aberfeldy’s 18 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky was originally launched for the Travel Retail Market. Presented in a bottle designed to fit in with the rest of the Aberfeldy redesign, this stylish single malt is a creamy, easy-going treat for the palate. Brimming with familiar notes of vanilla, buttermilk pancakes and stewed fruits, as well as warming oak notes from the fairly long maturation.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Honey, citrus and malty. A little bit of floral notes. Then biscuits and oranges. Some menthol here too. A very nice nose. Later it becomes more fruity, but it also keeps a very fresh lemon-like / menthol smell.

Taste: At first thin on the palate, a bit watery. There are some malty flavours but these are soon overpowered by the lemon-like aspects and a little bit of oranges. Some honey here as well. It?s promising in the nose but the taste can?t deliver on that promise. Although it does improve a bit after a few sips; then it becomes more fruity.

Finish: The finish is short to medium, with mostly biscuits, lemons and oranges.
