For the third instalment in Teeling’s Wonders of Wood series, the Dublin distillery has partnered with friends in Sweden! This single pot still Irish whiskey was crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, triple distilled and aged in fresh white Swedish oak barrels that were made by Swedish cooperage Thorslundkagge. Native to Europe’s Nordic region, this rare white oak is denser and more robust than varieties from other regions, offering up distinctive notes of candied ginger, almond, and treacle.
