An 18-year-old Timorous Beastie Highland blended malt whisky from indie bottler Douglas Laing, bottled in 2019. Aromas of soft spices, honey, vanilla and sweet malted barley fill the nose. The palate offers notes of stewed plums, blackberry jam, vanilla, blossom honey and warm baking spices.

Nose: Richly honey’d, with a touch of grilled apricot underneath.
Palate: Packed with barley and vanilla, joined by a crackle of black pepper and cinnamon.
Finish: Spices linger, as does chocolate ice-cream.
