Glenfiddich from Speyside has wrapped its most popular whiskies in a festive design, which means that the flagships not only score points in terms of taste, but also visually. The design comes from the artist Raku Inoue, who was born in Japan and now lives in Canada. He has reinterpreted Glenfiddich’s trademark, the iconic stag. The bottles of the limited collection “A Gift of Blossoming Futures” are real eye-catchers. The gift set includes the Glenfiddich 15 years in this special design and two high-quality glasses. The set is an attractive present for whisky lovers, but also a nice reward for yourself.
Initially aged in European oak sherry casks and new oak casks for at least 15 years. Then inspired by the bodegas of Spain and Portugal, Glenfiddich 15 year old it left to mellow and intensify in a unique Solera Vat. This is a large oak Vat at the Glenfiddich distillery, always at least half full it hasn’t been completely emptied since 1998.
The Solera Vat intesifies the malt making it richer and more complex, adding layers of warm spice, honey and rich fruit. Aromas of vanilla fudge mingle with hints of marzipan, cinnamon and ginger: enjoy this whisky neat to experience its depth of character.
