Description

The Glenfiddich Malt Master’s Edition was named for the distillery’s sixth Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, as he was their first Malt Master to double-mature Glenfiddich whisky in two different casks. This expression was initially matured in traditional oak casks, but was then finished for a number of years in Sherry casks to further develop the flavours, bringing warming fruitcake and gingerbread notes to the table.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Glace cherry, vanilla and clove followed by a trace of sulphur. Aeration offers more dried fruit notes that are beautifully integrated into the malt.

Palate: Sweet and silky; by mid palate it becomes loaded with spices accompanied by firm, drying oak. Traces of sweet malt and dried fruit sneak through towards the finish. Warming spirit.

Finish: Light toasty vanilla notes followed by a delicate dried fruit aftertaste that?s a little short.
