Description

A cask strength follow-up of the delightful Blackpitts Peated Single Malt Irish whiskey, this edition was double distilled from heavily peated malted barley and then aged in bourbon barrels to preserve all that smoky flavour. It was then bottled at a cask strength of 56.5% ABV. A huge, peaty treat from Ireland.

Nose Earthy smoke, red apples, toffee, and a hint of floral notes.

Palate Oak spice prickles through more smoke and orchard fruit with a touch of salinity underneath.
